For us, camping means freedom, nature and a conscious lifestyle. As a platform for modern, flexible camping, we not only shape the way people camp today - we also take responsibility for tomorrow.
Until now, overnight stays on Parkn'Sleep pitches were possible without additional fees for campers. This was a strategic decision with a focus on B2B business with pitch operators. From August 1, 2025, we will introduce a new platform and environmental fee of 15% - and use the revenue specifically for innovation and environmental protection. A significant portion will flow directly to The Ocean Cleanup, our first official environmental partner organization.
It's simple: we want to make Parkn'Sleep better - for you, for hosts and for our planet!
The platform fee also makes it possible to develop new functions (such as a booking calendar, community features or improved route planning) and at the same time do something concrete about environmental pollution. We are not focusing on theoretical CO₂ compensation, but on measurable impact - where it is needed.
We are delighted to be working with The Ocean Cleanup - an internationally renowned organization dedicated to removing plastic from rivers and oceans. Instead of fighting symptoms, The Ocean Cleanup goes straight to the root cause: using high-tech systems, plastic flows are stopped where they originate - before they reach the sea.
We believe in solutions with real impact. The Ocean Cleanup fits perfectly with our vision of sustainable tourism - and we are proud to be able to make an active contribution as a platform.
With every booking via Parkn'Sleep you automatically support this project. No donation form, no extra effort. You stay overnight - we act. An overview of the donations made can be found here from September 1, 2025.
For every booking via Parkn'Sleep, the accommodation price set by the host is increased by 15%. This fee is included in the total price and is displayed transparently.

We invest a portion of this in the operation and further development of the platform - and a fixed amount directly in environmental projects such as The Ocean Cleanup.
